  • Compile and analyze financial information for the Merchandising team and its Suppliers.
  • Track and collect receivables and escalate high risk accounts when necessary.
  • Reconcile and audit vendor agreement set up.
  • Process and post Corporate Finance weekly EFT batches.
  • Process monthly Vendor debits/credits, investigate variances and ensure ongoing maintenance of reporting tools/templates
  • Identify process improvements, develop action plans, and work together with IT and other Business Units towards a resolution.
  • Produce accurate reporting.
  • Provide backup for other Financial Analysts positions.
  • Conduct special projects as required.
  • Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Sysco’s Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.
  • Assist Food Safety Program Manager in ensuring compliance to Sysco’s Food Safety Program that leads to compliance with third party certification and customer requirements.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:
  • Minimum two (2+) years job related experience in an Accounting related role.
  • Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Finance or Business Administration, with a completion of an accredited Accounting course.
  • Experience with Sysco’s Merchandising, Finance and Earned Income functions.
  • Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels within the Sysco organization.
  • Excellent time management, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must be extremely detail and deadline oriented, a fast learner, and have the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to effectively adapt to change and comfortably navigate shifting priorities
  • Superior organization skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as Cognos Impromptu, AS400, and Internet applications.
