Our client is urgently seeking a General Manager for their nice small property in a very nice city in Saskatchewan. (NOT Regina) The General Manager of this midrange property will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and should have strengths in the front office, customer relations, savvy in sales and a solid knowledge of taking care of an all-day restaurant and growing the business.The ideal candidate must have a “Can Do†attitude and hands-on management style, will have excellent knowledge of thebranded style of properties. This individual will work closely with the owner team to retain the overall standards and to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.You should ideally have a minimum of three to five years of current General Manager’s role and have demonstrated sound knowledge of local competition and current hotel operations industry trends. He/she must have solid communication and mentoring/human resources skills to a very hands on to a guest focus team.The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting or improving upon all hotel budget targets: product/labour cost control, supplies and services cost control, and revenues. He/she must have the ability to apply creativity in guest accommodation packages as well as working with the restaurant teamThis individual must possess an innate understanding of the guest, anticipate the customer’s needs, take appropriate action to address those needs, and strive to wow the guest at every opportunity.Compensation: The salary package is $80,000 for the small hotel operation and will offer an annual incentive bonus up to 20% and a comprehensive benefits package.
