Job Description

The Opportunity:The purpose of the Driller/Locator is to perform the coordination and installation of underground conduit, cables and utilities.What You Will be Doing:Keep site lead current on the status of any issue(s) that may have an impact on the work being performed.Conduct and participate in field level safety meetings, tool box talks, and health and safety informational awareness.Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.Ensure equipment appearance is maintained to Burton standardsAbility to perform other routine maintenance work as requiredOther duties as required.Qualifications: 2+ years experience operating Horizontal Directional Drilling and/or Locating equipmentWhat You Need to Succeed:Valid Drivers License with clean drivers abstract.No criminal history involving violence, fraud or theftStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilitiesWilling to travel, work extended hours in all weather conditions.Self-directed and self-motivated, demonstrating a high level of professionalism, ethics, confidence and a commitment to a team approach. Ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to work efficiently and independently with strong attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills.Must be able to lift 50lbsNice to have: Class 1A or air brake endorsementExperience in a telecom or utilities environmentExperience running construction or earthworks equipmentAdditional safety training certifications. ie) ground disturbance, confined space, etcAbility to perform minor mechanical maintenanceWhat We Offer: Year round work.Competitive compensation.Group health and dental benefitsWe thank applicants for their interest, however only those selected for interviews will be contacted.Please ensure resume clearly states relevant experience in a telecom/underground utilities.Expected start date: 2022-02-21Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $26.00-$32.00 per hourAdditional pay:
