  • Prepare and facilitate the delivery of communication & effective meeting courses for public and corporate clients.
  • Prepare and facilitate the delivery of Minute Taking courses which includes demonstrating an excellent understand of both form and informal minutes and agenda using clear and concise writing, correct grammar & punctuation, and note-taking and summarizing skills. Must be familiar with Roberts Rules of Order.
  • Model excellent communication, listening and oral presentation skills.
  • Instruct classes in interpersonal communication and effective meeting management and facilitate student skill practice in each of these courses.
  • Answer student questions and provide individual feedback on verbal communication and presentation skills..
  • Be able to teach conflict theory, the drama triangle and communication strategies for moving off the triangle.
  • Revise curriculum, develop appropriate learning activities and teaching plans for each teaching assignment.
  • Manage the classroom to provide an optimum learning environment for students.
  • Work cooperatively with the Continuing Education Consultant and colleagues in a “team” environment.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCEDescriptionRequired Qualifications
  • Four year Bachelor degree.
  • Life Skills Facilitator or Executive Coach training is considered an asset.
  • Experience teaching interpersonal and intrapersonal communication using a practical approach.
  • Ability to apply basic principles and practices of adult education to assist learners with the required knowledge and skills.
  • Recent relevant industry teaching experience an asset.
  • Ability to effectively use a variety of instructional techniques when presenting the material such as role plays.
  • Must be free to travel across the province for customized training requests.
