We use an account-based marketing (ABM) process and advanced sales and marketing tools to draw the attention of C-Suite level software buyers at major telecom enterprises. We are a passionate, highly skilled, close-knit, and hard-working team that loves to have a good time while kicking butt at our jobs.*Role Summary: *iQmetrix, North America’s leading provider of telecom retail management solutions, is seeking a talented Content Writer and SEO Strategist to join its Enterprise Sales and Marketing team. As iQmetrix continues to evolve into a global retail software brand, there has never been a more exciting time to join this dynamic tech company and the team that drives its growth.As our Content Writer and SEO Strategist, you will work alongside the Senior Content Marketing Manager in developing and executing the company’s content marketing strategy, which is successfully positioning iQmetrix as the thought leader in the telecom retail industry. You will use your wide-ranging skills as an engaging writer and thoughtful website strategist, as well as your knowledge and experience of SEO and website best practices, on a daily basis. You will be given autonomy to carry out your accountabilities while having the unwavering support of your team lead and the wider team.*Role Accountabilities*Content Writer (80%)

  • Support the Senior Content Marketing Manager in creating and executing iQmetrix’s overall content strategy, including building and maintaining a rich content calendar
  • Producing engaging long-form content, such as case studies and how-to guides, with a focus on positioning iQmetrix as the industry leader in telecom retail
  • Co-owning the blog strategy with the Senior Content Marketing Manager and developing approximately two blog posts each month, focusing on industry best practice, product/partner education, and thought leadership
  • Supporting the Senior Content Marketing Manager in developing and maintaining the iQmetrix style and tone guide as it relates to the evolving iQmetrix brand
  • Coaching and providing feedback on copy and writing skills and how it adheres to our brand tone to all iQmetrix content creators
  • Monitoring and analyzing the performance of content campaigns, sharing results, and implementing actions for improvement
  • Support the Enterprise Sales and Marketing Team with strategic copywriting for a wide range of marketing campaigns and projects
  • Writing social media posts and working with the Digital Marketing Manager to share and promote iQmetrix news, content, campaigns, products, and other information on social platforms
  • Supporting the Senior Content Marketing Manager in executing additional projects such as awards applications, public relations campaigns, proposals, and other projects as required
Website & SEO Strategist (20%)
  • Analyzing website performance and optimizing content for SEO purposes
  • Finding and implementing keywords to improve Google ranking, and pursuing Google snippets
  • Working with Media Designers and Senior Content Marketing Manager to ensure consistent, engaging, and on-brand pages
  • Working with Website Designer to ensure intuitive processes and data-driven website enhancements are made
  • Working with Creative Director and Senior Content Marketing Manager to develop outside-of-the-box website pages that don’t compare to the competition
  • Collaborating with team members on monitoring, reporting, and updating the website
  • Supporting the Senior Content Marketing Manager in creating, reviewing, revising, and approving all web copy so that it is meaningful, valuable, and concise
  • Conducting regular content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information and ensuring all information is up to date and accurate
  • Collaborating with all Enterprise Sales and Marketing Team members to ensure that the content and website objectives align with that of the Enterprise Sales and Marketing strategic plan, brand strategy and standards, and iQmetrix strategic plan
  • Regularly browsing best practices and competitor sites to see where improvements could be made
*Skills and Experience Requirements: *To be considered as our next Content Writer and SEO Strategist, you will have:
  • A degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or a combination of related education and professional experience.
  • Superb, conversational, and expressive writing abilities, with a talent for storytelling and a nerd-like passion for accuracy (writing portfolio/samples required on application, and a writing/editing tests will be given to shortlisted candidates)
  • At least five years of experience in a writing-focused role, with increasing levels of responsibility – ideally but not necessarily at a technology company (extra points for business-to business software-as-a-service company experience)
  • Proven experience in turning technical or other complex subjects into readable, highly engaging marketing content
  • At least three years of experience in creating content as a pillar of marketing strategy and creating/executing on content calendars
  • At least three years of experience in working with a team of marketers focused on thought leadership, prospect, customer, product, event, and community marketing strategies, and producing copy for related marketing and digital advertising campaigns
  • Proven experience in writing engaging social media posts and supporting in online community management
  • Proven experience in successfully developing and applying brand style and tone
  • Interest in, and understanding of, optimizing the sales and marketing funnel through SEO, marketing campaigns, and sales enablement assets
  • Demonstrable knowledge of SEO strategies and experience of successfully optimizing website copy to boost Google rankings
  • Demonstrable knowledge of website analytics and proven experience of using web strategies successfully
  • Confidence in your own skills and experience, and the drive and passion to succeed, in order to carry out your accountabilities with autonomy
This role will ideally be based in iQmetrix’s Canadian HQ in Vancouver, BC; however, other locations across Canada and the U.S. are acceptable for the right candidate, as remote working is available. The role is currently fully remote, due to pandemic restrictions; however, for employees located near one of iQmetrix’s North American offices (Vancouver, Regina, Winnipeg, Charlotte, and Denver) at least one day per week in the office will be encouraged after restrictions are lifted.Job Type: Full-timeQuick Apply
