Our aim is to provide expert construction services with a focus on teamwork, performance, safety and success.Position SummaryPosses the full range of knowledge of materials, methods and tools required to construct, install, renovate and repair commercial or industrial structures constructed of wood, steel, concrete and other materials using carpenter’s hand tools and power tools and equipment. Studies blueprints, sketches or building plans to determine specifications and calculate requirements.While the scope of the carpenter trade includes many aspects of building construction, often carpenters will specialize in work, such as concrete, forming, framing, interior systems, and scaffolding.Duties & ResponsibilitiesErect wood framework; walls, partitions, joints, drywalls and raftersInstalls doors and windows, floor coverings, ceilings, trimsBuilds stairsBuild forms for concreteLays flooringInstalls cabinetryWorking from blueprints instructions from supervisors does layout-measuring, marking and arranging of various construction materialsCut, shape an d joinChecks accuracy of works and makes adjustments as requiredStudies blueprints for work planningConstructs and forms chutes for pouring concreteErects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levelActs as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpentersInforms immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measuresQualificationsEducation: Recent successful completion of the 4th year of the Carpenter Apprenticeship ProgramExperience: Minimum 5 years of related work experience
