This is a temporary position to commence as soon as possible until September 30, 2023. The Ministry of Justice and Attorney General is responsible for providing a fair justice system that upholds the law and protects the rights of all individuals in Saskatchewan. For further information about the Saskatchewan Courts and the Court of King’s Bench go to http://www.sasklawcourts.ca/.As a Judicial Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the Judiciary. Common job duties include transcribing court documents, editing, formatting for judgments, correspondence and documents. You will be responsible for distributing judgments and fiats and co-ordinating hotel/travel arrangements.The ideal candidate will have developed knowledge and skills through formal training such as legal assistant program and/or related work experience in a court/legal administrative environment. You will have considerable knowledge of court operations/procedures, advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook programs and document management software. You will be well versed in legal terminology and able to accurately reference legislation, regulations and Rules of Court. Your ability to deal with issues of a sensitive and confidential nature with tact and diplomacy will prepare you to work effectively in this demanding and professional team environment. Our candidate will have excellent verbal, written, communication skills, the ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision, and have the ability to build and maintain productive working relations.
