Faculty/Department Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies Unit KHS - Sessionals Employee Group URFA CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Sessional Number of Vacancies 1 Position SummaryThis course will enable the student to further examine issues facing persons with physical disability through the understanding of assessment and diversity of functioning. Using theory and practical application, students will critically examine the sociocultural, psychological, and functional aspects of physical disability and their implications on quality of life and well being. This course is being delivered in a hybrid format that combines face-to-face instruction for students registered in the on-campus section with synchronous live stream delivery to students registered in the remote section of the course.Position RequirementsA graduate degree (Ph.D. preferred) in an area appropriate for the course (i.e. Disability Sport, Adapted Physical Activity, and/or Therapeutic Recreation). Courses in the subject area at a graduate or undergraduate level from an accredited post-secondary institution we would consider transfer credit from are required. Demonstrated, relevant work experience in Disability Sport, Adapted Physical Activity, and/or Therapeutic Recreation will be considered an asset.
