Our team demonstrates these values in our daily behaviours.The OpportunityThe Ministry of Immigration and Career Training, Finance and Operations Branch, providing shared services to the Ministries of Energy and Resources and Trade and Export Development is seeking two highly motivated, innovative and strategic leaders for the positions of Manager, Budget and Forecast.Reporting to the unit Directors, your responsibilities will include:

  • providing advice to program management on all aspects of financial planning, management, reporting, controls and analysis;
  • support, develop and monitor financial plans; and
  • manage financial expenditure, revenue, capital and FTE forecasting.
Success in this role demands:
  • knowledge of government, financial and budgetary processes and policies;
  • strong conceptual and collaborative problem-solving and relationship building skills; and
  • the ability to facilitate and negotiate solutions to complex issues among a diverse range of individuals.
Typically, the knowledge and abilities required to achieve the above is obtained through completion of a post-secondary degree in Business Administration (Finance/Accounting) or Commerce, combined with advanced Excel skills.
