You can find more information about this change on the PEBA website.The OpportunityPEBA has an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems Support Manager within the Digital Business & Information Services Branch. The Digital Business & Information Services Branch is an agile partner that enables PEBA to harness digital assets and ecosystems to continually improve member outcomes and, simultaneously, increase operational agility.Reporting to the Director of Digital Business & Information Services, this position will be responsible to:

  • Lead and managed the direction of three Business Support Services teams – Test Management, Application & Product Support, Business Intelligence;
  • Bring applied expert knowledge of quality assurance, business process improvement, solutions architecture and project/product management;
  • Provide strategic leadership to PEBA’s current and future automated systems;
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Agency leaders, as well as building and sustaining relationships with key PEBA vendors and other relevant partners;
  • Develop, implement and track the annual budget for their area; and
  • Contribute to the overall planning and strategic direction of the branch in order to support the key goals of the Agency and ensure operations are economic, efficient and effective.
Ideal CandidateTo be successful in this role you will have:
  • Leadership strengths that promote inclusion, engagement and fostering an innovative, collaborative environment;
  • Experience leading a team of skilled professionals;
  • A solid track record of building and maintaining positive relationships across a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Expert-level communicator and relationship builder
  • Experience with a wide variety of existing and emerging technologies;
  • Knowledge and experience in a senior quality assurance position in the financial services industry or equivalent;
  • Proven experience maturing software development life cycle processes and business processes;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with significant senior management experience; and
  • Knowledge of pension plans and relevant system design would be an asset.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position have been acquired through:
  • A college diploma or university degree in software engineering, computer science, or business administration;
  • Considerable experience (greater than five years preferred) performing management business analysis, managing projects (PMP/Product Management), and providing oversight and direction on large enterprise software platforms;
  • Proven success in leading, coaching teams, and building team culture are a must-have.
