Manager of Client Services - ADM021987Employment Type: Permanent Full-timeLocation(s): SK-Rgna-ReginaMinistry: 510 Apprenticeship and Trade Cert CommissionSalary Range: $7049-$9165 MonthlyGrade: MCP.07.The Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) is seeking a highly motivated, innovative and resourceful individual for the position of Manager, Client Services. This is a permanent position located in Regina and reports to the Director, Governance, Research and Client Services.The Manager is responsible for leading several key functions such as:

  • Leading the Client Services unit in assisting with the provision of general information, advice and counselling regarding the SATCCs legislation and regulations to 7,000+ active apprentices and trades qualifiers, 2,000+ employers and 10 training providers across 50 trades;
  • Establish long term strategies and goals, develop policies and procedures, train and coach staff in the performance of their duties, all to ensure effective utilization of the unit’s human resources;
  • Monitor and evaluate client use of MyATC, the SATCC’s client self-service IT system. The position plays a critical role in developing business procedures and policies to ensure the effectiveness of client standards are maintained. This work includes proposing enhancements to MyATC;
  • Lead knowledge transfer and training, with follow up guidance to other SATCC operational units and internal staff, regarding client usage and required changes to MyATC;
  • Facilitate and support communication of technical and program information into formats readily understood by clients and other SATCC staff; and
  • Providing expertise/knowledge in voluntary and compulsory skilled trade certification policies and procedures.

You will demonstrate superior communication and writing skills, strong interpersonal and public relations skills as well as a service-oriented approach to work.A variety of educational backgrounds will be considered suitable for this position such as a journeyperson certification in a skilled trade, a certificate or undergraduate degree in business administration or other equivalent degree. This educational background will be supplemented with several years of experience working in teams delivering services directly to clients. A candidate possessing significant knowledge of the skilled trades and the apprenticeship educational system will be considered an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. Candidates are asked to clearly describe in their resume or cover letter where they have gained the knowledge and abilities required for this position.
