A well established metal manufacturing company is seeking a leader for the role of Manufacturing Operations Manager at their Yorkton SK location.We are a Saskatchewan based OEM of LEON brand agricultural material handling products & RAMROD brand compact utility loaders. See www.yorkton.caAs a key member of the senior management team, this leader will work closely with the Plant Manager and entire Production team to lead and achieve all Company factory objectives.Responsibilities include:- Plan and efficiently execute production schedules;- Organize, hire, direct & motivate the production team to achieve objectives;- Oversee procurement, vendor relations and cost reduction initiatives;- Implement and sustain lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement programs;- Troubleshoot & efficiently resolve customer service or product needs, while enhancing the Customer Service experience with proactive Customer communications & delivery timelines;- Source and recommend factory technology improvements to help increase productivity; and- Ensure compliance to health and safety requirements for all employees.Qualifications include: - Minimum 5-10 years’ experience leading people and processes in a factory setting;- Demonstrated ability to plan, lead, and achieve manufacturing objectives;- Above average communication and interpersonal skills with all internal and external customers;- Highly motivated and self-directed, possessing a positive ‘can do’ attitude and problem-solving skills;- Working knowledge and success implementing lean principles;- Computer literacy and exposure to ERP or production planning systems;Knowledge of metal manufacturing processes is an asset.
