They will take a lead role with regard to quality assurance including working with others to design, document and continuously look at ways to improve processes and systems. This position provides medical payment specialists with developmental feedback.Qualifications:A two (2) year Business Admin Diploma supplemented with a completed course in Medical Terminology or two (2) year Health Information Management Diploma. One (1) year successful experience in demonstrating the following skill sets:Processing invoices as a medical payment specialist or within the provincial health care system (understands and can relate fee codes).Making decisions in accordance with contracts, policies and procedures.Demonstrated ability to maintain a high standard of public relations through clear verbal expression and correspondence.Ability to maintain professional and business composure in difficult situations with care providers.Demonstrated ability to render decisions with minimum supervision.Analyzing data for the purpose of reporting and problem solving. Multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.Attention to detail; monitoring the work of others to ensure accuracy and completenessExtensive experience with software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), and SharePoint.Completing audits which includes knowledge of the post review (auditing) process and procedures Ability to work independently and in a team environment
