MIDAS Reporting Analyst - CON002375Employment Type: Permanent Full-timeLocation(s): SK-Rgna-ReginaMinistry: 018 FinanceSalary Range: $32.794 - $39.927 HourlySalary Supplement: included in hourly salary range (in-scope)Grade: SGEU.08.The Ministry of Finance, Financial Systems Branch, is seeking an innovative and client service-focused individual to join its MIDAS Financial Team as a MIDAS Reporting Analyst. This position is responsible for providing a combination of business analysis, system configuration, procedure/process development, training, and Tier II help-desk support for Discoverer, Cognos, and Oracle e-Business Suite reporting.As a MIDAS Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating requirements, recommending solutions, creating and modifying reports and working closely with ITD developers in designing, developing and testing system changes to ensure continued accurate financial processing / reporting. You will also collaborate and communicate with business experts in various modules of the Oracle Financials (GL, AP, AR, Purchasing, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management modules) to generate required financial reports.Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills are required to evaluate and resolve complex systems issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential in order to develop a variety of documents such as project plans, business requirements, procedure guides, and training documentation in order to communicate this information with both technical and non-technical clients.Typically, the knowledge required for these positions would be obtained through secondary education in Business Administration and/or Computer Science. Experience working with financial and reporting applications is required. Similar combinations of experience and education will also be considered.What we offer:
