You will plan, design, analyze, and provide technical support for data communications network or group of networks. You will also conduct research and evaluation of network technology and recommend purchases of network equipment. You will become an integral part of the team, making every problem of the platform a problem of your own, and solving them accordingly.Main Duties include:Customer Contact: Assisting sales employees in gathering technical requirements from customers and providing technical support. Giving technical presentations. Providing third level support to the Help Desk and Service Assurance Centre for all residential and commercial services.Reporting: Weekly reporting on tasks and projects. Tracking all support issues in the ticketing system.Planning and Change Management: Change management procedures, documentation, providing analysis and potential designs for network services delivery.Network Service Delivery: Monitoring all primary services, resolving trouble reports and escalating issues accordingly. Network support services for Access Corporate. Network and Internet connectivity. Maintenance of Internet servers, Firewall and VPN services, Web hosting and collocation services. Wireless install configuration and support and maintaining wireless networks.Training: Providing training to Access employees and customers.Hours of work will include being on call on a rotating basis with other team members.Competencies for Success:Working experience in Windows and Linux Operating Systems, Email Systems (Exchange/SMTP/POP/SpamAssassin/Clamd), Virtualized/Containerized Environments (VMware/Acropolis/Citrix/KVM/Docker), Database Systems (MSSQL/MySQL/Postgress/Oracle), Firewall Systems (Fortinet/Linux Firewalld/Mikrotik), DNS/DHCP Systems, Routers/Switches/Cable Modem Termination Systems (Cisco/Casa/Harmonic/Ubiquiti/Mikrotik/Arista), Routing Protocols (OSPF/BGP) Capable in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, PhP, Bash.Strong trouble shooting skills and exceptional internal and external customer service.Good organizational and documentation skills.Experience with Salt Configuration Management preferred.ITIL Certification is preferred.Project Management and Vendor Management is preferred.Clear Criminal Record CheckThe BenefitsGreat Salary!
