We are looking for a Parts Person!The Parts Person role is to ensure all required parts are ordered and received with respect to Capital Automotive Group’s standard operating procedure.If you are hard-working, passionate, and determined, then Capital Automotive Group is for you! The Parts Person is responsible for the everyday process in making sure vehicles coming in are completed in a timely manner. This person should be effective at maintaining a relationship with suppliers and be meticulous about ordering accurate inventory.The Job: * Work alongside with production manager and repair planner* Accurately identify parts necessary to complete repairs in and booked in for the shop* Work with and maintain relationships with vendors to locate and order parts* Order parts by phone, online and through body shop management system* Receive parts and inspect for claims quality and accuracy* Ensure timely distribution to the shop in accordance with the production schedule* Receive, tag and distribute parts immediately upon receipt or by 9 am for overnight deliveries* Receiving and scanning invoices of parts shipments as they arrive, providing them to the repair planner* Supplies Body Shop Technicians with parts as required.* Verify correct parts with a mirror match* Return and re-order incorrect or damaged parts* Track incomplete order status (outstanding orders, backorders, and credits) and follow up as necessary* Coordinating with Technicians and estimator on the supplemental damage* Manage inventory, order parts, create purchase orders, and receipt invoices according to company standards and policy* Answers and directs incoming phone calls and inquiries promptly, thoroughly, courteously and accurately* Assists in keeping parts department and shop clean, orderly, and well-stocked* Assists in the detailing process of vehicles when necessary* Places ordered parts on assigned part racks and carts in a timely manner* Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicle.* Post parts and sublet invoices and maintain an accurate accounting record of the part* Keep work area clean and well organized* Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective repair* Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times* Other duties deemed necessary by managementThe Qualifications: * Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information* One year of experience in a retail or wholesale parts department* Ability to interpret vendor catalogs* Ability to use parts department computer system* Good communication skills* Hold a drivers license, with a clean driving record*Only those selected for an interview will be contacted*Job Types: Full-time, PermanentAdditional pay:
