In keeping with evolving editorial goals, you will generate daily program ideas and program content using a variety of presentation formats.You are an exceptional journalist and leader who thrives in the fast-paced, high-pressure world of breaking news. The ability to go live and “off script” at a moment’s notice is highly valued.In addition to vetting scripts and writing program continuity, you will supervise the overall content of the different platforms of Radio-Canada during the weekend, from assignment through program presentation. You will be a strong team player, working closely with other staff, senior producers and management.Preference will be given to those candidates with previous experience as a host.We are looking for a candidate with the following:University degree or equivalentFive years’ experience of which three must involve work in broadcasting or a closely related industry, directly related to the area of assignmentSolid journalistic skills, with highly developed vetting skillsSuperior leadership, coaching and mentoring skills, with the demonstrated ability to encourage creativitySolid production skills, including experience in field production and strong ability to produce a variety of program formatsHighly developed technical skills, including field recording, and experience using a variety of equipment, including advanced proficiency with iNEWS, Dalet and Media CentralStrong presentation style, ease with live coverage and excellent interviewing skillsComfort with new and emerging technologies, and a demonstrated ability to use same to engage audienceAbility to work proactively and provide leadership by example in a journalistic unit composed of highly talented professionalsStrong on-air presentation skillsExcellent knowledge of political, social, economic and national issues that pertain to SaskatchewanUnderstanding of the relationship between network and regional programming Track record of completing assignments independentlyAbility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekendsBilingualism (English/French) essentialCandidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.If this sounds interesting, please click on ''Apply online''.
