Realty Manager - LAN000274Employment Type: Permanent Full-timeLocation(s): SK-Rgna-ReginaMinistry: 013 Saskbuilds and ProcurementSalary Range: $34.028-$42.641 HourlyGrade: SGEU.10.The SaskBuilds & Procurement ministry mandate includes oversight of all infrastructure projects and assets. The Infrastructure Design & Delivery Division (IDD) delivers infrastructure solutions that contribute to the province’s growth and improve the quality of life of our citizens.Our workplace is comprised of trusted collaborative leaders who provide the best infrastructure solutions for Saskatchewan, with the unique responsibility to lead the planning, design and delivery of very large, impactful projects including all major health, education, justice, corrections, post-secondary and parks infrastructure projects, including design and construction oversight and project management and delivery. The team also develops, implements, and monitors the delivery of the Government of Saskatchewan’s multi-year capital infrastructure plan. In line with this infrastructure plan, IDD leads government’s federal infrastructure funding, asset management, and real estate and space planning activities.As a Realty Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring the ministry’s real estate portfolio is obtained and managed in an efficient, cost-effective and client focused manner. You will be responsible for realty management services including lease negotiations/transactions, property acquisition and disposal, lease administration and the preparation and analysis of lease proposal calls on behalf of the Government of Saskatchewan. You will research, analyze and advise on real estate markets and trends that impact the department’s investment decisions.Typically, you would possess either a bachelors degree in Business Administration, Law, Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation or Certified Leasing Officer (CLO) designation, supplemented by years’ experience in the realty and construction development industry. A combination of related work experience and education may also be considered.You must have strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. A comprehensive knowledge of contract law, leasing principals and related economics would be a definite asset. As the successful candidate, you will be a team player committed to values of our organization.You will have knowledge of:

  • general Lease negotiations and property acquisitions; and
  • basic contract law.
You will have the demonstrated ability to:
  • verbally and in writing explain policies/ procedures/audit results at a level appropriate to the audience;
  • ask clear, concise and relevant questions to obtain desired information related to acquisition of space;
  • influence, persuade or convince others in order to achieve understanding and reach an agreement;
  • calmly listen, assess and clarify problems and respond with options to coworkers/stakeholders/landlords who may be angry/confused/upset/ uncooperative;
  • work independently and work cooperatively with others in a team environment to establish, build and maintain positive working relationships and to ensure deadlines, goals and objectives are met;
  • plan, prioritize and organize a large volume of tasks and projects for self taking into consideration frequent interruptions, conflicting and changing priorities to meet strict deadlines;
  • review, interpret, evaluate financial/operations data in order to form conclusions and/or make recommendations on agreements/contracts; and
  • input, edit, update, retrieve, maintain, format and transmit data, create and generate queries, reports and documents utilizing word processing, databases, spreadsheets, communications and other software packages with accuracy.
