At Ford Lincoln Regina we are passionate about our people and their contributions.Job Responsibilities

  • Review damage reports, prepare and review cost estimates, and plan work to be performed
  • Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles
  • Fit weld replacement parts into place using wrenches and welding equipment
  • Remove damaged sections of vehicles using metal-cutting guns, air grinders, and wrenches
  • Adjust or align headlights, wheels, and brake systems
  • Replace underbody components, front end components, body components, doors and frame
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills
  • Bolt or weld replacement parts into place
  • Remove, install, align and repair panels
  • Assist Auto Body Technicians with Vehicle construction, surface preparation and Application of undercoats
  • Cleaning, detailing upholstery, trim and hardware
  • Repair or replace interior components
  • Straighten bent frames
  • Fit and secure windows, vinyl roofs and metal trim to vehicle bodies
  • Inspect vehicles for proper functioning, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers publications
  • Enhances body shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Performing the job in a safe manner, based on Trade Safety Awareness
  • Signing off on straight time work hours for Apprentices
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Body Shop environment
  • Completion of Red Seal Journeyperson Certification
  • Unrestricted drivers licence and ability to drive automatic and manual transmissions.
  • Body Shop and automotive service knowledge and experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Advanced decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain professionalism during high-volume periods
  • Self-driven to work independently with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of body shop software such as Mitchell is an asset but not mandatory
