Job Description

JOB OVERVIEWWe are seeking experienced field surveyors for full-time, permanent work on major projects in areas within Saskatoon. Our Surveyors are responsible for completing field survey work with accuracy and precision, providing technical expertise, supervising survey crew members, and ensuring that all work is completed safely. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes pride in their work, is physically fit and able to work outdoors for extended periods of time.If you are not from the area, we will get you there!

  • Travel compensation is available, as well as camp accommodations or allowances.
  • Relocation opportunities with assistance from LN.
  • Full-time, permanent project-based work.
Qualifications, skills and experience
  • 2 – 5 years’ survey experience
  • Geomatics Technician diploma or equivalent is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License (with a clean 5-year abstract)
  • Knowledge of Trimble GPS and Robotic Total Station Equipment is mandatory
  • CSTS, OSSA/BSO, First Aid and H2S Alive Safety Certification
  • Underground/Line Locating Certification and/or Advanced UAV Pilot Certification is an asset
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy and care
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with composure
  • Experience supervising crew members, an asset
  • Strong work ethic and proven reliability
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to learn, take direction and accept coaching feedback
Key AccountabilitiesSAFETY
  • Actively participate in corporate HSE Program
  • Actively participate in client HSE Programs ensuring requirements are understood and met
  • Leading by example, ensuring all corporate safety program elements are implemented
  • Support and participate in Safety Committee activities
  • Conduct project/field safety audits when required
SURVEYING:
  • Provide technical support for survey operations
  • Prepare documentation of survey activities, including Survey Field Notes
  • Provide supervision and leadership of survey crew
  • Actively manage and develop strong client relationships
  • Complete all required Safety Paperwork
  • Carry out various types of survey work accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain good communication between field and Project Manager
  • Actively participate in the Quality Program, seeking continuous improvement of processes and procedures
  • Maintain and secure field equipment and vehicles safely and in good working order
WORK CONDITIONSThis role is full-time and permanent for projects in Saskatchewan. Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada and be physically fit for outdoor work.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $40.00-$50.00 per hourBenefits:
