Job Description

The strength of the company is in its ability to meet the changing needs of its customers and to provide outstanding customer service through its’ dedicated staff.Overhead Door specializes in furnish, installation and service of upward acting door and dock solutions. Our core business is installation and service of upward-acting door systems. We supply Overhead Doors and related products to new commercial building contractors, the new homebuilding industry, private businesses, and to homeowners.Role:We have an immediate opening for a Garage Door Technician in our Regina warehouse. Reporting to the Lead Foreman. This technician will service and install overhead doors. This role is a permanent, full-time position. There will be on call and overtime with this position.Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose problems, provide solutions, and carry out required work on overhead doors.
  • Regularly coordinate with the service scheduler on problem-solving and required parts.
  • Contribute to business development, by actively seeking new customers and building relationships with existing customers.
  • Other duties, as needed and/or assigned.
  • Be able to take on out-of-city jobs as needed - Overtime and on-call as needed.
Skills:
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Strong work ethic, team player, and positive attitude.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable with heights (laddersamp; lifts).
  • Strong safety mindset.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in a Service/Installation Industry an asset. But will train the right candidate.
  • Experience in related trades or construction.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Relevant safety training and tickets are an asset (such as Fall Protection, Elevated Pork Platform, Standard First Aid, SCOT, LSE, etc.)
  • Wearing a hard hat and other PPE is mandatory for this safety-sensitive role.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to work outside in all different weather conditions, including cold and extreme heat.
  • Lifting, pulling, climbing, standing, sitting, lying down, squatting, and kneeling.
  • Managing/maintaining equipment and tools required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements, including drug, alcohol, and health assessment.
