Training Officer - EDU001499Employment Type: Permanent Full-timeLocation(s): SK-Rgna-ReginaMinistry: 073 Corrections Policing and Public SafetySalary Range: $33.911-$41.280 HourlySalary Supplement: included in hourly salary range (in-scope)Grade: SGEU.09.The Saskatchewan Police Commission (Saskatchewan Police College), is seeking a strong and effective communicator to assist in the development and facilitation of professional training utilizing adult learning principles for police officers and law enforcement personnel.As a Training Officer, you will function as part of the Saskatchewan Police College team to plan, manage and facilitate a wide range of courses to police officers and civilian police personnel that will develop their personal and professional knowledge, perspectives and skills consistent with the desired performance standards within law enforcement agencies.In this position you will be responsible to act as a role model and supervise candidates undergoing training. You will also be responsible for reporting evaluations to the participants law enforcement agencies from across the province. As well you will be coordinating and organizing the delivery of training at a number of different facilities and on occasion help facilitate classroom or scenario training.The successful candidate will have experience in strategic thinking and planning, evaluation performance, instructional design, delivery of course training standards, adult learning principles, problem based learning exercises and evidence based policing.Typically, the competencies required for this position would be obtained through graduation from a police academy in Canada, extensive experience in operational policing and supervision of police officers, supplemented with a university degree in education or experience in training needs analysis, and the facilitation of training.You will have knowledge of:
