They will Supervise all staff, equipment, and 3rd party sub-contractors assigned to them. This includes production and safety on site. The successful candidate will be pro-active and able to make decisions while balancing the pressure of a fast-paced project environment. Problem solving and the ability to use and understand technology is required. The role is traditionally a civil nontrade role.What will you Be Responsible ForThe URD Supervisor oversees construction site operations for URD projects all over Canada. The initial focus is on Saskatchewan URD in Regina.This position is also a member of the operations in Western Canada. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, development of new procedures for the company, establishing best practices in our programs and procedures, and business development with our current customers.Execute on the operations strategy of all Utility department staff.Promote a positive company image by actively engaging with customers, sub-contractors, suppliers, and the communities in which we work.Who Are We Looking ForSomeone with:Previous Regina/Saskatoon URD- Four Party experienceThorough knowledge of OH&S regulations.Leadership for Safety Excellence certification is an asset.Significant experience in utility company health and safety practices. Digging near energized lines, ROW, Gas Line crossings and Safe Limits of Approach.Knowledge of SaskPower, SaskEnergy, CATV and Telecom installation.Experience safely working in subdivisions and other high traffic areas.3+ years' experience with leadership of a crew. The Supervisor is the person in charge on site.Previous Saskatchewan Four Party URD Construction is a requirement of this job.Backhoe and/or Excavator equipment operating experience an asset.Experience coordinating Heavy Machinery and 3rd party contractors is an asset.Familiar with underground machinery – HDD's, RBD'sValid driver's license required, Class 3 or 1 license is an asset, but not mandatory.Clean driving abstractFamiliarity with prints and specifications manuals will be required.Ability to train and mentor new and existing employees.CSTSGround Disturbance Level 2Additional Safety Tickets and certification including First Aid, confined Space and Fall Protection will be required and are assets.Willing and able to commute to various job sites in and around the Regina area.What are the Working ConditionsThe nature of this position requires physically demanding motions and tasks. Candidates are required to successfully complete a Pre-Employment Assessment including drug and alcohol screening and fitness test requiring the ability to life 50 lbs repeatedly.
