Ref ID: 05060-0012457158Classification: Accounts Payable ClerkCompensation: $20.90 to $24.20 hourlySeeking a short-term contract position Robert Half is doing the hiring process for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk for a rapidly-expanding company. The Accounts Payable Clerk will update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, process checks, process expense reports, resolve A/P issues, and match, batch, and code invoices. An individual in this position will need a high aptitude for computer software, be mindful of details and a self motivator. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Burnaby, British Columbia area and will be a short-term contract position.Your responsibilities- Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling- Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies- Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks- Help with internal and external audits as required- Perform full-cycle A/P- Provide support to internal business partners- Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis- Complete special projects on an as-needed basisJob Requirements:A Successful Candidate Will Have:- General familiarity with construction project accounting- Knowledge of LEED Accounts Payable- Good understanding of Sage Timberline- Background working with Construction Cost- Earlier work involving construction- Adeptness in Process Vendor Invoices- Experience with Reconcile Vendor Statements- Construction Accounting experience highly preferred- Microsoft Excel experience highly valued- Comprehension of Microsoft Excel- Check processing experience- Previous experience working with Sage Timberline Software- Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired- Check Runs experience- Experience with Excel Formulas- Practical knowledge of project accounting- Demonstrated knowledge of cross functional project management- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgroundsRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
