Job Description

Canadian Avalanche Association (CAA) based in Revelstoke, BC The CAA is looking for someone to take on the role of Membership Services and Partnerships Coordinator at our office in Revelstoke, B.C. The Canadian public has the highest degree of confidence in the avalanche safety programs and services delivered by CAA members.What #39;s the Job This is a dynamic and versatile role responsible for administering and supporting a wide array of functions. The ideal candidate for this role is detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and able to juggle multiple priorities with professionalism and accuracy.Membership Services

  • Acts as the main point of contact for CAA members with the organization
  • Supports members by phone and email
  • Coordinates the member benefits the CAA provides
  • Coordinates the membership application process, audit process and the annual membership renewal process working with management and the CAA’s Membership Committee
  • Works closely with the Communications Coordinator in creating and distributing key messaging to members
  • Responsible for the membership section of the website
  • Assists with initiatives that affect membership such as mental health and DEI
Event Coordination
  • Plays a key role in organizing and implementing the week-long Spring Conference including social events
  • Coordinate virtual and in person Continuing Professional Development sessions
Partnerships
  • Coordinates the CAA #39;s partnership program including seeking out new partnerships
  • Manages and impleents agreements with partners and sponsors
  • Coordinates the pro-purchase program
  • Sources advertising for our publication, The Avalanche Journal
  • Secures sponsorship for events
Scribe
  • Scribe for CAA Board of Director Meeting
  • Attends all Board meetings and the AGM, drafting agendas, taking minutes, and administering the processes around minute approval and publication
Communications and Content Creation
  • Support the Communications Coordinator in peak times or covering vacation
  • Content creation and scheduling content for social media, creating and distributing eblasts and keeping the website up to date.
The Membership Services and Partnerships Coordinator is a vital part of the CAA team, we pride ourselves in offering a healthy work/life balance. The position will be based out of the Revelstoke office with the opportunity for hybrid working. This position will be hired for a start date of approximately July 10. This is a year-round position of approximately 34 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required. Compensation: Wage range is $26.00 - $31.00 per hour based on experience.Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Communications, Event Management, or a related field. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of formal post-secondary education.
  • Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and manage complex logistics to meet service level objectives for communications and business processes
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong competency with core Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with corporate computer networks, file structures, email etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed
  • Exceptional capacity for customer service
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Proven capacity for highly reliable and accurate performance

  • Clear criminal background check
  • Experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress)
  • Knowledge of running social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn)
  • Knowledgeable with Canva and MailChimp

  • Event coordinator experience
  • Experience hosting virtual events on Zoom
  • Experience working with external partnerships
  • Knowledge of winter backcountry mountain recreation
  • Ability to speak French
  • Content creation and design experience
