Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales & Reservations Manager is responsible for oversight and coaching of the reservations team, ensuring a high level of customer service is delivered and that accurate booking information and policies are maintained.The Sales & Reservations Manager is also responsible for maintaining working relationships with accommodation providers, external service providers and wholesalers, participate in Sales & Marketing activities, and communicate with tour operators regarding pricing and passenger issues. Additionally, the Sales & Reservations Manager will be responsible for receiving telephone calls, responding to e-mails, and making reservations.The Operations Manager and the Sales & Reservations Manager will work closely to identify opportunities for the Reservations and Operations teams to support each other’s business functions, for the purpose of improving cost efficiencies, service reliability and customer service.

  • Coordination of the transportation, and reservations enquiry response process.
  • Working with management team to develop new products, including marketing and pricing.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve existing product offerings and/or marketing of existing products.
  • Hiring and training of new staff.
  • Coaching staff on providing and maintaining a high level of customer service and accurate booking records.
  • Ensuring that policies and procedures are up to date and relevant and keeping the team up to date with changes.
  • Seeking out ways to build on efficiencies and streamline processes.
  • Maintaining successful working relationships and manage contracts with external providers and wholesalers
  • Working on the frontline receiving phone calls, making reservations, and answering emails
  • Working closely with the dispatch department, maintaining regular communication and providing cover when necessary
  • Completing cash-out duties
  • Preparing reports (i.e. invoice and booking reports)
  • Maintaining reservation and booking system (i.e. updating pricing, adding new products)
