Then after only 700 hours as a TCP, you may be eligible to become an LCT, which includes access to a higher wage, increased responsibilities, company truck and gas card and participation in a points program!The PositionIf you are new to the Traffic Control industry, you will start as a TCP, where you are responsible for coordinating traffic in and out of construction zones. Upon being promoted to the LCT role, you will be responsible for implementing Traffic Management plans, setting up of signs and cones and closing off lanes. As a LCT, you will also oversee the TCP’s onsite thereby gaining crucial leadership experience.ResponsibilitiesExecute effective traffic management plans with the proper equipmentSet up, maintain and remove work zonesEffective communication with your work partner to conduct the flow of trafficLift cones and signs which may weigh up to 50 lbsPerks and BenefitsMedical, Vision, and Dental benefits after probationary periodExcellent wages mandated by a union policy and vacation package that is paid out on every pay cheque!Wages for TCP range between $17/hour to $21/hour.
