Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is a division of Canada’s largest privately held hospitality company, Northland Properties Corporation (NPC), and since its inception in 2007, we have gained a reputation for big mountain riding, legendary powder and an authentic Canadian resort town.Job SummaryHave you worked lifts and loved it before Can you bring that stoke to a team lift operators You might just be the ideal Lift Operations Team Lead! Our Team Leads assist the Supervisors and Managers with all things lift operations in a day, including: setup and takedown of lift equipment, ensuring all lift documentation and safety checks are completed by lift operators, break rotations, team building activites, and overal staff moral and duties. A typical day will have the Team Leads moving around the Gondolas and Chairlifts assisting the operators and ensuring they have everything they need for their day at the lifts. Skiing or Snowboarding is a large part of this job, and being outside on the snow all day is required.Essential Job FunctionsAssist Gondola and Chairlift Operators with set up of lift areas for public to use, which includes putting up signs, maze equipment, garbages etc. and clean up of the area at the end of a day.Safely and efficiently help guests load and unload the gondola while following all safe work procedures while Lift Operators are on their breaks.Complete daily safety checks and record on lift logs.Assist ticket checking staff with ensuring every guest has a valid lift ticket.Constant snow removal and snow work. This includes ramp maintenance, sweeping cabins, shovelling, ice chipping, and roof raking.Interact with guests at all times and provide a high level of guest service.Assist team members at various other work stations with similar duties.Act as a liason between Gondola/Chairlift Operators and Supervisors.Maintain staff moral and inform Supervisors of any staff requirements/requests.Required Qualifications and AbilitiesMust have a passion for the outdoors.Must be able to do physical labor.Self-motivated, able to work independently.Mature, enthusiastic, and guest service oriented.Must be able to work flexible shifts (we operate on weekends and holidays.)Multilingual and first aid skills an asset, although not required.Able to ski or snowboard at and advanced level.Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate clearly over a radio.Must be at least 16 years of age.Previous lift operations experience required. Experience on Poma Lifts an asset.This position is an outdoor position that has a lot of shovelling and physical labour.Large team working with people of all ages and backgrounds.Compensation and Benefits
