Job Description

Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is a division of Canada’s largest privately held hospitality company, Northland Properties Corporation (NPC), and since its inception in 2007, we have gained a reputation for big mountain riding, legendary powder and an authentic Canadian resort town.Job SummaryDue to the continued growth of our local weekend programs which cover everything from beginner tots to freestyle and young women’s programs, we are looking to expand our team again. As such, we are looking for people with diverse skill sets who are ready to lead groups of all levels with a focus on making the most out of our guests experience at RMR.   • Maintain a safe environment for all guests and staff
  • Lead skiing/snowboarding groups, training and lessons for guests and staff
  • Represent the resort in a positive, professional manner
  • Develop and close sales opportunities, selling commissionable lessons
  • Assist snow school management and other departments, including off-snow assignments
Commitments:
  • Part Time Plus:
  • Available 2-4 days/week, 10+ days during holidays
  • Eligible for full time staff pass
  • Full Time:
  • Available 4-6 days/week, 15+ days during holidays
  • Eligible for full time staff pass (family pass from second season onward at RMR)
Required Qualifications and AbilitiesRequirements: (Please note, only applications that meet the requirements will be considered)
  • Work eligibility in Canada
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Ability to teach both children and adults
  • Passion for the mountains, guest service and the sport
  • Can produce physical SIN card or valid revenue Canada doc including full SIN number
  • Bondable, with a criminal record check less than 3 months old
Instructor Roles:
  • Level 2 SB dual cert instructor:
  • CASI Level 2 and CSIA L1+
  • Minimum: 3 seasons experience as a snowboard instructor or coach
  • Required: Dual cert, capable of teaching minimum adult, technical ski L4 (blue run) lessons
  • Additional certs/exp such as dual cert, CSCF, CFSA, CADS, CSIA, Freestyle strongly preferred
  • Level 2 ski instructor:
  • CSIA Level 2
  • Minimum: 3 seasons experience as a ski instructor or coach
  • Additional certs/exp such as dual cert, CSCF, CFSA, CADS, CASI, Freestyle strongly preferred
  • Proven freeride coaching or competitive experience is a major asset
  • Level 3 ski instructor:
  • CSIA Level 3
  • Minimum: 3 seasons experience as a ski instructor or coach
  • Additional certs/exp such as dual cert, CSCF, CFSA, CADS, Freestyle, CC, TD strongly preferred
  • Proven freeride coaching or competitive experience is a major asset
