Job Description

We are looking for a freelance copywriter in our publishing department

  • The position is a remote contractor position
  • Minimum 10-20hrs per week
In this role you will be working closely with multiple teams, delivering copy on a variety of ongoing and standalone projects. As a successful candidate you will be doing a great deal of collaboration with people from various disciplines such as Game Design, Publishing, Creative Services, and more in order to produce creative and exciting copy for the game, its recent and upcoming features, plus promotional offers to prospective and existing players.Requirements:
  • An understanding of gaming culture, bonus points for EVE experience!
  • Ability to write direct response copy that gets people excited about the content
  • Creative, collaborative and concise
  • Reliable and able to prioritize and manage your time efficiently
  • Ability to approach marketing copy in an original and innovative fashion
  • Meticulous with grammar, punctuation, and adopting house style
  • Diligent at fact-checking
Responsibilities:
  • Help us market our MMO sandbox game EVE Online to gamers around the world through email, social, landing pages and more
  • Write creative captions for social media posts
  • Compose email and news item communication to veteran and new players
  • Work with cross-functional teams to create show-stopping landing pages
  • Work with the product team to translate development material into entertaining blogs
  • Write creative banner copy - dont be afraid to use puns!
