Work Location:
  • On the Road- Traveling between program locations in Mono, Orangeville, Stayner, Tottenham, Richmond Hill, and Markham
Job Type:
  • Permanent
  • Full Time (40 hours/week)

  • Monday- Friday

  • Weekends (as needed)

Experience:

Posting:Cedar Heights is seeking a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), who has experience working with neurodiverse children, youth, and young adults. If you are looking to expand your scope of practice, enjoy working as part of a team, and are willing to travel between our 6 locations, we want to meet you! Cedar Heights specializes in supporting complex neurodiverse clients in a home-like environment through a trauma-informed lens, using a strength-based and person-centered approach. We provide our clients with support and supervision in all areas of daily living including; educational support, competence-centered skill acquisition, purposeful programming, community involvement, and recreation. The successful applicant will provide leadership and supervision to the Registered Behaviour Therapists (RBTs) who work within each of our homes. They will work collaboratively with the program staff to develop and monitor the progress of behavioural programs that focus on skill acquisition and improving client safety to help support the best possible outcomes for the clients.Duties will Include (but are not limited to):
  • Supervision of RBTs who will work within each of the homes
  • Work collaboratively with the program staff and the RBTs within each home to support the best possible outcomes for the clients
  • Complete an initial needs assessment for each of the clients and develop a behaviour support plan (BSP)
  • Develop new and adjust existing; treatment plans and individualized programs for the clients to support the goals identified within their BSPs to facilitate growth and manage challenging behaviours
  • Review and aid in the development of safety plans and crisis plans for the clients
  • Provide support and training to the staff within the programs with the implementation of programming they create
  • Complete data analysis and program fidelity check to continuously monitor the client’s programming
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to improve services to the clients
  • Provide support to families and liaise with community partners as necessary to provide consistency among environments
Qualifications Required:
  • Master’s Degree in Behaviour Analysis
  • Board Certification as a BCBA (in good standing)
  • Fieldwork hours completed
  • Valid G driver’s license and current automobile insurance
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for work
  • Consent to CAS SAFE records check
  • Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (current within 6 months)
  • Complete an Employee Medical Test with Hep B, and a 2-part TB test
  • Provide proof of Immunization record
Experience/ Knowledge/ Skills Required:
  • Commitment to adhere to organizational policies and procedures
  • Commitment to uphold client confidentiality and adhere to provincial legislation (PHIPPA)
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
  • Experience working with neurodiverse children/adults
  • Must possess strong leadership, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supervising RBTs and implementing behavioural treatment programs
  • Experience in Trauma Informed Care
  • Experience managing and responding to crisis situations
  • Ability to complete NVPCI Training
