THE OPPORTUNITYReporting to the Director, IT Services, the Cloud Infrastructure and Systems Administrator is responsible for providing technology planning, implementation, and support services for Venterra’s IT infrastructure.Working closely with employees at the three corporate offices and our 65+ properties, the successful candidate will need to be a self-starter, someone who is passionate about technology, is eager to expand their skill set, and understands the importance of providing exceptional customer service.The candidate will be provided the opportunity to participate in new IT initiatives, work closely with employees throughout all functional areas and be an integral contributor to the success of the organization.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCloud Services

• Design, deploy and maintain Microsoft Azure virtual machines and services (SSO, Storage, virtual machines, key vault)
• Manage Office 365 cloud services (SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, Intune, Compliance)
• Collaborate with Venterra employees to understand technical requirements and recommend solutions using IAAS and SAAS as the preference
• Assist in the migration of existing MS Azure and on-premises infrastructure to AWS
• Integrate third party solutions into Venterra’s existing and new infrastructure (SSO, log management, vulnerability management)

IT Infrastructure

• Hands on experience with Windows and Azure PowerShell
• Assist in the creation of hardware and software standards and policies for Venterra infrastructure
• Provide business continuity services for the organization
  • Installations, configuration, and maintenance of data backup environments (Microsoft Azure Backup, AWS Backup)
  • Infrastructure and data restore testing
  • Key contributor to Venterra business continuity/disaster recovery plan
• Installations, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems (MS Windows 2016-2019 on MS Hyper-V, Microsoft Azure, AWS)
• Installations, configuration, and maintenance of IT monitoring systems
• Strong understanding of managing user permissions, SSO/password management, AD Group policy/MS Azure Policies (i.e., conditional access)
• Web hosting experience (DNS, SSL, IIS, Tomcat)

Vulnerability Management

• Senior level experiencing with patch management systems for Windows operating systems (WSUS, AWS, Azure) and popular third-party applications (Chrome, Adobe, etc.)
• Work closely with our third-party firewall vendor on integrating new rules and policies for our infrastructure and applications
• Security threat investigation and response (phishing, ransomware)

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in a Technology-related field or equivalent experience
• Highly engaged individual that seeks out a better way of doing things and will not settle for the status quo
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills for team member collaboration and IT documentation
• 10+ years of experience in systems administration
• 5+ years of experience in a senior systems administration role
• 3+ years hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure
• Highly organized and must be able to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Microsoft Operating Systems and services (Windows server 2016-2019), Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Office 365
• Familiar with traditional Aruba, Aruba InstantOn and Cisco networking hardware is beneficial (switches, routers)
• Must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of people who have different levels of technical competence
• PowerShell scripting is a must
• AWS experience is a nice to have (IAM, EC2, EBS, S3, EFS. FSx, KMS)
