Job Description

High School Science (Physics, Chemistry) and Math TutorOxford Learning Richmond Hill South is seeking an upbeat, dynamic High School Science (physics, chemistry) and math teacher who wants to work in a rewarding teaching environment. This position is great experience and resume-builder for recently certified teachers or teacher candidates with a passion for helping students to learn and grow. Candidates must possess a strong background in math and science and must be comfortable teaching students grades 7 - 12.A great candidate for the position will possess the following skills:

  • Bachelors degree or 4th year university student with extensive tutoring experience
  • Experience in a teaching/tutoring environment in academic math and science
  • Strong English language written and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the current grade 9 - 12 math and science curriculum including but not limited to chemistry, physics, biology, advanced functions and calculus
Availability: Applicants must be available at least two evenings per week (Monday - Thursday) from 3.00 - 8.00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9.00 - 3.00Applicants must live in the York Region, Richmond Hill area and must be a Canadian residentWe thank all applicants.
