If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please let us know.Some of what you will doAs part of the Merchandising leadership team, the Supply Chain Import Manager (Freight & Transportation) will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic global supply chain team. This qualified candidate will lead a team of Supply Chain Import Analysts in managing import product inventory to deliver on key performance metrics (in-stock, turns, etc.) This candidate will be responsible for demand planning with Merchant partners, placing orders with vendors and factories, inbounding product to into two 3PL DC’s and out bounding product across all distribution channels. In addition, this candidate will also be involved in negotiation and management of ocean freight and customs clearance and compliance .Specifically, you will:

  • Measure and review forecast accuracy of the replenishment system and understand areas of improvement and work with the team on actioning inventory opportunities
  • Inventory level analysis to be performed on going, to include consideration of ship pack factors, minimum presentation qty’s, stock balancing, inventory variances at stores, fulfillment centers and 3PL warehouse
  • Calculate landed cost for each SKU, taking into consideration ship plan, country of origin, ocean freight, FOB cost and provide to Category Managers
  • Track & trace for product across the supply chain process in order to forecast inventory levels in the warehouses
  • Continuous improvement mindset to review processes and recommend changes to existing processes to create efficiencies including, promotional planning, track and trace, inventory forecasting, etc.
  • Ability to analyze large sets of data and derive insights that will lead to improved business decisions in terms of forecasting optimal inventory levels.
  • Integrate supply chain processes into our ERP system to centralize the availability of data to create efficiencies for the supply chain team
  • Responsible for Inbound transportation management into the 2 warehouses with our vendor partners including involvement in Ocean Freight negotiations and ongoing freight management
  • Responsible for Customs Management including managing and recording determination of Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications and Export Classification Numbers. monitoring and reviewing and record keeping for compliance to import regulations and evaluating opportunities to leverage trade agreements and other duty reduction programs.
  • Manage and develop the SC Import team to ensure achievement of department/business objectives.
  • Development of an employee-oriented department culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance.
  • Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary.
  • Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, IM, and regular interpersonal communication.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with Sourcing, Transportation, Product Merchandising, Finance, and DC Operations teams.
  • Partner with cross functional partners to execute all necessary duties related to month/quarter/year end closures and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned and directed.
Some of what you need
  • 3-5 years prior experience in a Supply Chain for import products
  • Specific experience in ocean freight negotiation and management as well as customs clearance and compliance is preferred.
  • Experience managing and developing a team
  • Experience with business intelligence software
  • Experience in JDA replenishment software
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, Outlook, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI), SQL
  • Post-secondary degree in business, math, economics, statistics, engineering or other quantitative fields that use a data driven approach to solve problems.
