Job Description

Job DescriptionNPC College of Arts & Design is currently looking for full-time and part-time candidates for the position of Art Instructors, who would team up with our senior arts instructors to give full training on our students. There’re full-time and part-time position available with competitive benefits and more opportunities for you to gain experience on working with young kids and teens.Job ResponsibilitiesThe instructor will be responsible for providing quality instruction to students through well-developed classes, relevant assignments, direct critique, and appropriate assistance, in collaboration with other staff members in the studio.

  • Delivering instruction that meets module and program objectives as set out in the curriculum
  • Evaluating student performance fairly and consistently
  • Class attendance and grading
  • Contributing to the development of curriculum and instructional materials
  • Supporting the administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience
  • Individual guidance of students where appropriate.
  • Punctual and conscientious management of classes.
  • Collaborate with other staff on developing projects and classes and provide mentoring to new faculty
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students
  • Ensure the safety and sanitation of all studio equipment and supplies
  • Able to work weekends & evenings
  • Attendance at staff meetings.
  • Other duties assigned by the Head of School.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Illustration, Animation, Visual Arts or related field.
  • Love Art and love working with children
  • Being creative & energetic, and patient with teaching young kids
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills
  • Fluent instruction in written and oral English, and Mandarin Chinese is definitely a plus
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Problem Solving - use of logic and analytical methods to come to realistic solutions
  • Teaching certification is an asset but not necessary.
  • Candidates will also be required to complete a satisfactory criminal background check.
