Job Summary:This job was posted on our former Career Site as Posting # 177628.Come work as a Booking Clerk with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Booking Clerk to join the Magnetic Resonance Imaging team at Richmond Hospital in Richmond, BC. Apply today to join our team!As a Booking Clerk working with a Magnetic Resonance Imaging department you will:Perform scheduling and booking functions for a variety of patient appointments for designated areas within Radiology.Support the Medical Imaging team by performing duties such as:arranging times with patients, doctors offices, nursing units, physicians, technical staff and surgical/medical daycaremaking follow up appointmentslocating applicable images/films prior to appointmentsrearranging schedules to meet changing demands/requestspreparing and confirming patient informationentering booking, patient and image/film information into radiology and hospital computerized and/or manual booking and patient information systemsfiling requisitions for all bookingsacting as receptionist to support the delivery of patient careensure client/family needs are met above all other concernsQualifications:Education & Experience

  • Grade 12, two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge & Abilities
  • Ability to keyboard at 40 wpm.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
