Thats why were always looking ahead, and not just to the next project or whats next in our industry.Our team at the new St. Pauls Hospital project need your help to build this legacy in our community.Heres how a Building Systems Manager, IMIT for our BC Region office contributes to our team:Responsibilities

  • Managing project plans, coordination with hospital owners staff, management, project scope, and budget analysis and associate project risk mitigation.
  • Ensuring that the technical document requirements and scopes of work are being met by the applicable responsible design consultants and trades.
  • Identifying problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
  • Reviewing and providing comment on the material specifications and data sheets, Instrument Index, Input & Output Lists, Bills of Quantities, Block Diagrams, Cable Routing, Control Room Layouts, Loop Diagrams, Wiring Termination Diagrams, Loop drawings, Installation Hook-up Drawings, Junction Box Termination Drawings.
  • Managing integration of IMIT with all other building systems (M&E, Elevators, Clinical Hospital equipment & systems). Working closely with the integration consultant to implement the integration plan.
  • Evaluating the vendor-supplied packaged programs, macros, utilities, data communication programs, and other highly technical programs.
  • Ensuring the process design strategies, including that the development of RFIs, RFPs are adhered to and clear and concise prior to submittal.
  • Monitoring installation progress in conjunction with the construction schedule. In conjunction with the overall PCL construction schedule as well as develop IMIT 3-week look ahead schedules.
  • Reviewing and managing the standards for Safety & Quality while innovating to meet aggressive schedules and cost targets.
  • Coordinating activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
  • Other Building Systems IMIT duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum ten years experienced in the related IT industry.
  • Certified Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) credentials will be an asset.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, clinical informatics, trends, business drivers, and best practices to provide subject matter expertise and leadership.
  • Experience with implementation and maintenance of all IMIT systems.
  • Ability to develop and implement a designated IMIT QA/QC program.
  • Innate ability to work with computers, networks, and various types of software systems.
  • Experience with Healthcare IMIT systems including but not limited to: integration of centralized network systems, Audio Visual Systems/VOIP Systems, Wi-Fi/DAS/Wireless Systems, RTLS/Nursecall/Code Blue/Patient Wandering, Security/CCTV/Access Control Duress, Lighting Control/Elevator Control, Patient Infotainment Systems, Electronic Metering Systems, and BAS/CMMS.
  • Knowledge of hardware and system architecture.
  • Ability to lead the design and construction team of IT specialists.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions.
