Job DescriptionCook 3 Do you have an appetite for career progression and ready to take your culinary skills to a world-class platform Take your career to a whole new level with Fairmont Vancouver Airport and join our kitchen team.What you will be doing:

  • Food preparation and cooking, plating, presentation
  • Able to interpret a BEO and will ask superior for guidance
  • Strong knowledge of quantities needed for service and upcoming volumes
  • Able to write a thorough and complete prep list
  • Can identify any ergonomic issues or hazards in kitchen and seek guidance on how to remedy
  • Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive service while supporting fellow colleagues
  • Assist in the preparation and service of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus, according to hotel recipes and standards
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils and equipment
  • Maintain full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and/or beverage
  • Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies
  • Other duties as assigned
