Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Information Services & Technology, this position is part of the team responsible for supporting and maintaining several business applications. This position works with the Application Support team to troubleshoot, diagnose, and rectify problems.Responsibilities:

  • Installing, patching, configuring, upgrading, tuning, and monitoring various SQL Server and Oracle Databases in a Windows environment
  • Programming triggers, stored procedures, functions and SSIS packages using PL/SQL and T SQL
  • Working with the infrastructure team to ensure uptime and recoverability of the Production and Test environments
  • Ensuring databases are optimized for database recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery
  • Creating technical documents for standard operation procedures and recovery procedures
Education and Experience:
  • BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification
  • Proven working experience as a Database administrator
  • Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
  • Excellent knowledge of backup and recovery scenarios
  • Experience maintaining and administering SQL clusters
  • Experience with Data Warehouse, Data Modeling and ETL is an asset
  • Working knowledge of cloud database technologies
  • Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills
