You are passionate about maintaining a positive, engaging environment for our guests and your coworkers.Job descriptionJob Duties

  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Baan Lao, committed to providing an exceptional customer experience
  • Create a pleasant, welcoming and respectful environment for all guests
  • Be extremely knowledgeable about every menu item and able to convey a meaningful description for all guest inquiries
  • Be comfortable and confident making food and drink recommendations to guests.
  • Accurately record and relay all food and drink orders
  • Coordinate with chefs and bartenders, providing clarification when needed.
  • Properly manage the flow of each meal for an optimum guest experience
  • Ensure the highest quality standards are met for service, cleanliness and food presentation
  • Work diligently with our maître d’ and/or management team to immediately address all guest concerns
  • Set tables, adhering to brand standards
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Comply with all federal, provincial and municipal laws
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of server experience in fine dining establishment.
  • Previous Thai food restaurant experience is preferred
  • Exceptional customer service, good interpersonal skills and communication
  • Excellent memory for names and faces
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to function within, and contribute to, a team environment
  • Understanding of FoodSafe and liquor law regulations
  • Must have legible handwriting
  • Experience with a restaurant POS software platform.
  • Passionate about creating a positive environment for guests and staff
  • High school diploma is required
  • Formal training in Hospitality is an asset
  • Keen interest and knowledge of wine an asset
