Job Description

Receptionist required for a dynamic, busy Richmond Appliance company.The OpportunityWe are seeking a professional Receptionist for an ongoing, long term opportunity within our Richmond showroom. The ideal candidate should excel in customer service and have a professional, calm and confident telephone manner. A good understanding of Microsoft Office applications is required, as well as strong interpersonal and writing skills, with a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar field. This position is a full time role, scheduled five days a week (Monday – Friday, 9am-5:30pm).Note that interviews and Training will be held in Richmond, B.C.Key Responsibilities and Functions

  • Greeting and assisting visitors to our showroom, and offering lattés, coffee or tea.
  • Overseeing the phone and front desk, and directing visitors/sales calls to appropriate Sales Staff.
  • Taking payment for orders
  • Booking service calls for clients
  • Tidying/organizing staff kitchens and coffee station
  • Assisting in other day to day sales activities
  • Generating and organizing various reporting as required (including sales reports, inventory reports, spiff reports, etc.).
  • General administrative duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Be passionate about customer service excellence.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, multi-demand environment.
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in English, other languages are considered an asset.
  • Must be punctual, and have a polished appearance.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (primarily Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Previous office experience in an administration role is required

Education:
  • Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:

  • Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
