What you #39;ll be doing day to day• Ensure a positive shopping experience by actively greeting all visitors, being visible, friendly and knowledgeable about the IKEA store• Offer information and anticipate visitors’ needs by asking the right questions and advising them on the best solutions for an enjoyable shopping experience. For example: o Provide visitors with the necessary shopping tools (yellow bags, maps/shopping lists, pencils, measuring tapes, etc.) o “How to Shop†information for first-time visitors o Support with Customer Guidance in the store o Family Friendly services for those shopping with children• Promote the use of digital shopping tools available to visitors including the mobile app, IKEA.ca, and Wi-Fi. Offer assistance to visitors wishing to use these tools, but may need extra help. • Collect information relating to customer shopping trends and behaviors to share with store partners.• Educate visitors on all services and service products available to help in making informed choices and thereby creating a seamless shopping experience. • Actively promote and inform visitors on current commercial events including Sales events, activities, time restricted offers, Family offers, etc. • Gather and record the most frequently asked questions in the entrance area to gain insight to where visitors may be confused or require further assistance.• Ensure a safe working and shopping environment for both co-workers and visitors by maintaining basic actions and reporting any safety hazards, concerns and/or suggestions for improvements. • Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they occur.
