In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining our network and servers, deploying devices and software, and assisting with network security. This position is an excellent career-building opportunity: you will gain hands-on experience with a wide range of IT topics, exposure to industrial IoT and enterprise systems, and receive close mentoring from a senior IT professional.This is an onsite role at our office in Richmond, BC, with limited opportunity for remote work. You must be located in or be willing to relocate to the Lower Mainland.Your primary areas of responsibility are:System Administration:

• Install, configure, deploy, and maintain Windows and Linux client/server systems and virtual machines.
• Maintain Microsoft 365 environment.
• Administer various software and hardware assets, including on-premise, cloud, and hybrid.
• Install, configure, repair, upgrade, and maintain networking and end-user devices.

Network Security:

• Assist with network security and stability across local and cloud-based environments.
• Maintain data backups to ensure data integrity and availability.

Technical Support:

• Provide direct technical support to end-users.

Project Management:

• Collaborate with the IT Manager and project stakeholders to plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of products and services as needed.

You will be a great fit if you have:

• Degree, diploma, or certificate in Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in system and network administration, including in a corporate or other business environment with 20 or more users.
• Hands-on experience in deploying workstations and servers, networking configuration and cabling, VMs, backup solutions, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Linux, hybrid environments, remote monitoring and remote access tools, and mobile device management.
• Experience with PowerShell, Bash, and other scripting languages.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Good troubleshooting skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a strong desire to learn!
