Job Description

This is a full - time position at BlackboxMyCar. BlackboxMyCar is an eCommerce company specializing in dash cams and car camera technologies.Please note: This is an in-office role as the successful candidate will be working with the Marketing team on video shoots in-person.The Junior Social Media Coordinator plays an integral role in bringing our brand to life on social media, specifically Instagram & TikTok and other social media channels. We are looking for a fun-loving, car enthusiast, quick-thinking entrepreneurial spirit, a self-motivator with a marketing mindset who knows how to attract and convert people’s attention into actionable results: sales and engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of branding and storytelling with an ability to work independently and alongside other marketing team members.Desire to work in social media, content marketing and branding are all keys to the success of the position.Overall Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • With the supervision and Guidelines of Marketing & New Business Director, create content for various social media channels. This includes, but is not limited to: Instagram Stories, Posts, Reels & TikTok
  • Create short-form videos for various social media channels. This includes script writing, filming, post-production, and marketing
  • Engage with the community by participating in forums and comments, ie. Reddit, Instagram, DashcamTalk, etc.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all assets
  • Research industry-related topics and identify gaps in our content, knowing whats currently trending
  • Attend events to capture content
  • Create and maintain a social media content calendar
What it takes:
  • Marketing student
  • Extremely passionate about marketing, technology and cars
  • Good writing skills for social media (short-form copywriting with a purpose)
  • Good photography skills with your smartphone or SLR and a great eye for good social media angles
  • The confidence and ability to create real-time content at events for various social channels
  • Overall knowledge of social media platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook
  • Familiar with video editing software
  • A good team player
  • Well organized and detail-oriented
  • A collaborative and positive attitude
  • Experience with dash cams (huge plus)
  • Owns a vehicle as required
