Job Description

Do you have experience in production and in driving a forklift We are looking for a trustworthy production worker to support our operations in a Lead role. Working in a plant environment, this is a key role in being a lead to 3-4 workers in production.Who: Our client is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of niche construction chemical products with a global presence in over 90 countries and expanding their global presence further. They are committed to providing their customers with premium services, leading technical knowledge, and innovative products.The company has a substantial market share within its niche sector and will offer significant room for growth and career advancement.What- the Role: Reporting to the Plant Manager, this Lead Hand Production worker will be 1 of 2 leads to 3-4 workers in their batching and packaging plant.PERMANENT AFTERNOON SHIFT Monday to Friday 1:00pm - 9:00pmThis is a Full-time permanent position. Please read the entire Job Description carefully to understand the position.Some of the duties will include:

  • Employees are tasked with packaging dry cement powders into bags, pails, drums, paper bags and Bulk bags. They are then placed on pallets, wrapped and staged for shipment.
  • This is a physically demanding job and includes lifting and standing for long periods of time. Employees may find the tasks repetitive and tedious so we move employees to different stations as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and understand verbal instructions is important. The job requires keeping track of batch numbers, weighing and marking products.
  • Employees are required to wear steel toed shoes, rubber gloves and dust mask. This may not be well suited for candidates with a dust allergy.
Qualifications include: Ideal is someone coming from a production environment with hands on experience and experience in driving a forklift.Qualifications include:
  • 1-2 years experience in a high-volume production environment.
  • Employees will be driving forklift, so license is preferred but 1-2 years driving is mandatory.
  • Candidates must have reliable transportation and live in the lower mainland. Not accepting candidates relocating from outside the Vancouver area.
  • Must be able to sign a strict NDA agreement as this position will be exposed to trade secret information.
  • Must be trustworthy, reliable and committed.
  • Must have some Leadership qualities. (Responsibility)
  • No specific trade skills needed. Everything will be taught using on-the-job training.
Where: Fully in person located in Richmond in the plant.How Much: This is a full-time permanent position that is paid at a competitive hourly rate.
