Flowmarq Creative Inc., a creative & marketing agency with a team of ten, is looking for a Marketing & Communications Specialist to fill a mat-leave position. This position will be working under the Agency Principal.During your appointment, you will develop your professional marketing & communications skills through a variety of communications work: Market research and strategy report preparation, copywriting for brand identity and marketing campaign, content compilation for email marketing and client coordination of marketing campaign.A typical daily workflow will see you visualizing and writing brand identity & marketing campaign content, and collaborating with graphic designers to execute visual designs. You will also work on marketing strategy research and reports.Working with brands large and small in an agency setting, you will have exposure to a large variety of client brands and marketing & communications requests. You will help shape their brand & marketing strategy in the formative phase. This role prepares you to become a marketing and communications professional.RESPONSIBILITIES:- Promoting and maintain a positive brand image/reputation for our clients- Conducting market and brand research for clients’ respective industries- Coming up with brand positioning & marketing strategies in collaboration with client leads- Keen interest in storytelling with ability to execute visual components- Ability to adapt to client brand voice/style- Produce high-quality marketing content and copy for client marketing campaign (email, web, social & print etc.)- Analyzing social and web analytics- Preparing client email communications (Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, Flodesk)- Minor web content updates on Wordpress or Squarespace- Assist with overall digital marketing campaign execution- Supporting the team with digital administrative tasks- Proofreading and checking campaign documents prior to print/release to public- NOTE: this role is not a social media or online advertising roleSKILLSET- Tech-savvy, fast learner of new tools.- Experience in Wordpress and/or Squarespace environment an asset- Comfortable working in Google applications and/ or Microsoft suite- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with understanding of tone and voice- Familiar with common social platform general administrative operations (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, Google, LinkedIn, WeChat)REQUIREMENTS- Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, English Major or relevant training- min. 2-3 year experience in marketing or communications- Ability to multi-task and take initiative- Good organization, time management, and follow-up skills- Ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision- Ability to work in-person at our office in Richmond every Tues & Wed (WFH other days)- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese an advantage (but not required)Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractContract length: 12 monthsSalary: $3,500.00-$4,000.00 per monthBenefits:
