We offer competitive compensation packages, exciting employee incentives and the opportunity to develop under the prestigious Relais & Châteaux banner.Job descriptionThe Night Janitor position is responsible for supporting your colleagues in the cleaning and upkeep of the dining room, spa and other common spaces. Working autonomously though tasks and duties over the course of the night shift, the night janitor will work alongside the night auditor to prepare the resort for the next business day. Duties over the course of the evening include cleaning the public areas of the resort, cleaning floors of the Tyee Dining Lodge, laundry and pressing.Job DutiesDeep clean all common areas to ensure the highest level of hygiene and sanitation is met.Dispose of collected garbage and recycling in the appropriate areas; ensuring recycling is sorted correctly following Sonoras environmental efforts.Laundry services including sorting, folding and pressing a variety of linen.Scrubbing, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping the floors in common washrooms, dining room, spa and other public spacesRespond timely to guest requests for service or miscellaneous items ie: cribs, cots, extra towels, etc.Return and properly tag all lost and found articles.Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment.Ensure effective working relationships and clear communication is maintained with all colleagues and departments.Drive small electric vehicles around the resort.Adapts easily to change; works quickly and accurately under pressure, tight deadlines and multiple priorities.Strong analytical, strategic and creative problem-solving skills.Exemplary customer service skills and a demonstrated willingness to exceed guest expectations.Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team or independently with minimum supervision.Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.Physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, combination of sitting, walking, standing for extended periods of time, bending, crouching, kneeling.This is a seasonal position that works on site at the Resort in shift work rotations. Seeking a start date of mid-April.All staff are provided with complimentary single bedroom accommodations.
