By understanding their needs and comfort preferences, you #39;ll suggest the best non-powered wheelchairs that suit them.Collaboration with Multidisciplinary TeamWorking closely with Physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to integrate insights and expertise into the residents #39; care plans. Sharing your assessments and contributing to team discussions will ensure a cohesive and effective approach to enhancing residents #39; well-being.Assistive Device RecommendationsSuggesting adaptive equipment such as grab bars, reachers, dressing aids, and adaptive utensils. Your expertise will help residents overcome daily challenges and maintain their independence.Qualifications

  • A valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in British Columbia.
  • Experience or a strong interest in working with the senior population in a care home setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to conduct thorough assessments, develop innovative treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to enhance the lives of seniors through compassionate care.
