Were looking to hire a full-time builder to install our patio covers! The successful candidate will work with an experienced builder to start to gain an understanding of how they are assembled. Once ready, you and a helper will install on your own.Requirements:- High School Completion- Confident with hand / power tools (drills, miter saw, skill saw)- Enjoys working outdoorsWe typically work 4x 10hour days and take either Friday or Monday off (depending on the weather). We are quite flexible with scheduling, and dont like working in the rain, but sometimes we need to work in a light drizzle.There are two types of work days:1. Meet at the warehouse to cut and prepare the material (usually takes 1/2 day, will often cut for 2 jobs on 1 day).2. Meet at the warehouse to pickup the material, and drive to the work site to install (can be anywhere around the lower mainland). Install the patio cover in a team of 2 (installs typically take 2 days). Return to the warehouse to drop off tools and excess material.We typically wear cargo shorts or pants, and a t-shirt (no tank tops on install days). Steel-toes NOT required, we hate how heavy they are so we usually wear running shoes.Were looking for someone to join our team long-term, and become our lead installer. This job has a lot of flexibility, and the potential to earn on a percentage of each job as opposed to hourly once youre ready (up to $45/hour depending on your speed, while maintaining a high quality standard).
