Working under the direction of the Planning & Costing Manager, the Production Planner creates the detailed production schedules and coordinates and plans workflow within or between departments according to the master schedule.Your responsibilities and tasks:

  • Responsible for the preparation of Master Plan and detailed production schedule for freezer projects
  • Perform capacity planning, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products
  • Produce weekly production plan in accordance with approved overall schedule and quantitatively and qualitatively track project progress to monitor the status of production.
  • Plan workflow and generates routing sheet if necessary
  • Collaborate very closely with Supply Chain to ensure effective material planning and avoid shortages or delay that can impact production schedules
  • Coordinate between engineering, manufacturing, project management and logistics to ensure the schedules are aligned between different teams
  • Measure, monitor and report on key performance indicators
  • Lead and facilitate necessary schedule review meetings, identify schedule & budget risks
  • Determining manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
  • Communicate and resolve the issues with the team when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
  • Expectation is to be present on the shop floor to discuss any production related subjects at least 50% of the working day.
Your profile and qualifications:
  • Minimum three-years operations management experience in a project-based environment
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Industrial/Systems Engineering or related areas
  • Exceptional communication & problem-solving skills
  • Excellent ability to plan and optimize competitive priorities
  • Familiar with ERP systems, experience with Axapta/MS Project preferred
  • CPIM designation APICS and understanding of LEAN manufacturing and PULL concept would be an asset
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with diversify culture.
